Meet the Author
Tywauna Wilson is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, medical laboratory scientist and an award-winning leadership maven who trains and coaches movers and shakers how to level up their skills so that they stand out, get promoted, and get paid. She owns Trendy Elite Coaching and Consulting which focuses on transformational change by equipping leaders with the personal growth tools and expertise needed to be successful influencers in the workplace and in their local communities. Trendy Elite uses proven leadership methods in its training programs, leadership assessments, and coaching programs. In addition to the leadership training programs with Trendy Elite, Tywauna is the host of “Leadership Tidbits with Coach Tee Wilson”, “S.O.S for Leaders”, and “eLABorate Topics” podcasts on the Direct Impact Broadcasting Network.
Tywauna started her leadership journey in the clinical laboratory as a medical laboratory scientist providing complex testing to aid clinicians in accurate diagnosis and patient care. With over 15 years of experience, she has served in a variety of progressive leadership roles, with her most recent being the System Technical Director of Chemistry for one of the top regional labs in the Dayton, Ohio community. In this role she provides clinical expertise, strategy, standardization, and collaboration to five hospitals, two free-standing emergency departments, and a core reference laboratory.
In 2018, Mrs. Wilson, co-authored her first best-selling publication, “Dear Fear, Volume 2: 18 Powerful Lessons on Living Your Best Life on The Other Side of Fear” which challenges readers to push through fear and begin living the life they deserve. Since then she has co-authored the following best sellers; “It Takes Money Honey: Guaranteed Strategies to Wealth Creation, Proven Tips for Financial Freedom and Developing Faith” (2019), “Girl, Get Up and Win” (2019), and “Gyrlfriend Code: Sorority Edition (2019).
In 2019, Tywauna moved into the Visionary Author role and released her best-selling business books, “Leadership Tidbits 1″ followed by “Leadership tidbits 2” (2020). This book offers practical strategies that every leader needs to know in order to elevate their career and enhance their personal lives.
Mrs. Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Kentucky State University and a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has received several accolades including: 2019 Ambition Magazine List, 2018 Werking Women Award, 2017 American Society for Clinical Pathology Forty Under 40 Award, 2015 UC/UC Health Martin Luther King Jr Award, 2012 Girls Scouts of Western Ohio Leaders of Promise Award, 2011 Cincinnati Business Courier Forty Under 40 Award, and 2010 YWCA Rising Star Award.
Tywauna is actively involved in The Dayton Public Schools Foundation Board, Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio, John Maxwell Team (Executive Director), American Society for Clinical Pathology, Dayton BizWomen Insiders Club, American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
